Severe weather warnings in Surrey and Hampshire

THE Met Office has issued a severe weather warning across Surrey and Hampshire.
Thunderstorms and torrential rain have made roads hazardous for pedestrians and drivers.
In Wisley, 11mm of rain fell between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday.
Rainfall is lighter in north east Hampshire.
A Met Office spokeswoman said: “The warning is 20mmin three hours and that’s a really heavy downpour.
“The intensity of the rain can make driving conditions really difficult and quite hazardous.
“There have been downpours everywhere but they are showing signs of reducing in Hampshire and it looks as if the same thing will happen across Surrey.”
