Nu let op beste jongens en meisjes,de Met Office is nogal kwistig met voorwaarschuwingen. Maar wat er in staat is toch niet minnetjes.

ADVANCE WARNING OF SEVERE WEATHER

Here is an ADVANCE WARNING of Severe Gales affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
Issued by the Met Office at 09:35 on Thursday, 18 March 2004.
The Met Office continues to forecast two depressions to affect the UK within the next 72 hours, the first to cross central parts of England on Friday morning and the second to sweep quickly northeastwards on Saturday afternoon with the centre pushing further north. Both low pressure systems are expected to generate gusts on their southern flanks of 70-80mph over exposed coasts and 60 mph inland. However, there remains uncertainty regarding the intensity of the systems, and each still has the potential to develop into a major storm, with damaging winds gusting 80-90mph over exposed coasts and 70mph inland, which would cause structural damage and disruption to transport. Southern England and South Wales are most at risk on Friday, whilst northern England is most at risk on Saturday.
For enquiries regarding this warning - please contact your regional Met Office.
