A dangerous and disruptive blizzard with high winds, fierce cold and paralyzing snow is stretching from Colorado to Wisconsin. Travel will be shut down in some areas from Omaha to Madison as the storm's worst is yet to come. The storm will also bring wintry precipitation to the Northeast as the "December to remember" gets into full swing. The worst lake-effect snow event of the season so far will follow the storm, burying some communities barely brushed by the storm itself.
