Dit heb ik op een Amerikaans forum gelezen daarover, ik veronderstel dat er geen onderscheid gemaakt wordt tussen Amerika en Europa.
"Most folks who are involved with modeling know that the "only pay attention to the 00z and 12z runs" rule has gone the way of the dinosaur. 06z and 18z runs are thought to be less "reliable" because they are not initialized with new ROAB data which is only available for 00z and 12z runs. While this is true, the 06z an 18z runs are instead initialized with satellite sounding data. Satellite sounding data is extremely accurate. I would not put much significance on this old rule-of-thumb."
