[SpaceWeather] Zonnevlek 1045 en zeer geringe kans poollicht

Inmiddels is zonnevlek 1045 gegroeid tot een 'Beta-Gamma-Delta' magnetische configuratie met de potentie voor een X-klasse uitbarsting (kans 15%). De kans voor een M-klasse uitbarsting is geschat op 70%.
Verder heeft de Space Weather Prediction Center een alert uitstaan voor 'sudden impulse expected'. Dit naar aanleiding van de reeks M-flares van de afgelopen dagen waarbij bij een enkele een CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) is waargenomen.
Er is een zeer geringe kans op poollicht de komende 2 a 3 nachten voor onze breedtegraad, echter hebben we momenteel te maken met bewolkt weer.

(information from IPS flare report), an M2.1 flare peaking at 12:47UT
(information from 1 min GOES-14 X-ray Flux data). The first glimpse of a
CME is visible in STEREO Ahead COR2 pictures at 06:39 UT. The CME
propagates towards the Earth. Geomagnetic activity is expected to
increase to major storm level on Feb 09 as consequence of the arrival of
the halo CME associated with the M6.4 flare on Feb 07, peaking at
02:34UR. More geomagnetic disturbances can be expected as the CME seen
by STEREO reaches Earth.

NOAA AR 1045 released on Feb 08 3 more M-flares:
an M4.1 flare
peaking at 07:43UT,
an M1.1 flare peaking at 12:03UT,
an
M2.1 flare peaking at 12:47UT.
The first glimpse of a CME is
visible in STEREO Ahead COR2 pictures at 06:39 UT propagating to the
left from the point of view of STEREO Ahead. The CME propagates towards
the Earth.
