PITTSBURGH -- Thousands of households in southwestern Pennsylvania are without power this morning due to thunderstorms.
11:30 a.m. - Update: Allegheny Power reports 1,000 customers are still without power. Most of these outages are in Washington County near Monongahela, Belle Vernon and Finleyville areas. Repair crews restored 11,000 outages in the area during the night and morning.
Duquesne Light said a combination of lightning and fallen trees has caused 1,800 power outages in Moon Township, Fox Chapel, Ross Township, Lawrenceville, Mon Hall and Daugherty in Beaver County.
