"Tomorrows synoptic situation looks quite better than today actually. A cold front moving in from France during midday will give plenty of forcing for convection. Since the WF now present just north of The Netherlands will likely move to the SSE during the night, midlevel moisture will increase quite significantly thereby increasing the chances of (severe) TSM development.

DLS is likely to increase quite significantly to 22m/s as a 80-100kts jetstream is moving more towards the Benelux and will be located near Ireland tomorrow afternoon. LLS will remain moderate at around 8m/s . The midlevels will have become moister as said, but not too high which increases the downdraft strength and the probability for severe wind gusts and hail. Again, probably the biggest threat of severe weather will be wind gusts (maybe even up to 60kts due to higher DLS) and marginal hail up to 0.5" (1.3 cm).

According to both the GFS and ETA-23km models, SBCAPE will rise to values up to 2000 J/Kg in the southeast of The Netherlands, with Lifted-Index values to -8°C. Temperatures should reach 27-28°C before the CF moves in at around 12-13Z. Dewpoints will have lowered a bit compared to today, but should remain high enough (12-14°C) for serious convection to form. Cloud tops around 200hPa (11km) with overshooting tops probably nearing the 14 km.

Ben"
