Hi all,

Yesterday (18th June), here in Glengarnock (20 miles south of Glasgow)
from 1540-1600 UT, we had an impressive thunder storm. At its peak it
produced an intense hail storm lasting for around 10 minutes. The
hail quickly blocked downpipes and started to cascade off of our roof,
accumulating in 'drifts' below. One of these drifts was just over 12
inches deep. As I write, some 20 hours after the storm, I can still
find pockets of hail in the garden. It felt truly bizarre last night
when I crunched my way over the hail to check for NLC!
