,,The climatology was constructed from daily SST fields from an operational ocean 3-D model run from Dec. 2001 to Dec. 2002. (..) The temporal evolution of the mean SST was examined to be very similar in 2001 and 2002, suggesting that the pseudo climatology can be used to locate erroneous data.''
Zij beweren dus dat het jaar 2001 vrij representatief was, maar ik heb daar nu mijn twijfels bij. Ook de benadering, dus klimatologie construeren aan de hand van een modelsimulatie, is twijfelachtig.
