Vorig jaar eens hetvolgende op getypt in een verslag voor het vak Mesoscale Meteorological Modelling (Mijn onderwerp was.... de Morning Glory):
"The generation of the Morning Glory has long been poorly understood. Early studies suggested that the generation was related to the east-coast sea breeze combined with either a low-level nocturnal jet or maritime inversion, or related to the west-coast sea breeze combined with orographic effects citep{goler2004}. In September and October 2002 the Morning Glory was intensively studied during the Gulf Cloud Lines Experiment (GLEX). Besides the measurement campaign also a simulation with MM5 was performed. In this simulation two clear lines of convergence developed over the peninsula, caused by sea breeze circulations at both coasts. These lines of convergence merged, traveled to the south-eastern part of the gulf and were seen as the cause of the Morning Glory citep{thomsen2006}.newline
