The weather bureau has forecast rain and strong winds for today's stage. Although the day began with overcast but dry conditions rain is now beginning to fall in Arras, the site of the stage finish. The temperature at the start is 22 degrees Celsius. At the finish it's 20 degrees.
At the moment there is a wind blowing at about 30km/h from the east (making it essentially a tailwind).

The first of the 21 teams are about to leave Cambrai for the 64.5km cooperative effort to Arras. The forecast for rain has come true and it's falling on most of the course. At this stage, it's only a light drizzle but it's expected to get heavier as the day progresses.
