Het NOAA geeft deze storing een kans van 60% om zich binnen 48 uur tot tropische depressie te ontwikkelen. Mocht deze een stormveld ontwikkelen dan krijgt de storm de naam Ophelia. Dit zou dan de 15de TS van het seizoen zijn.
