Why more rainfall in Oman? Experts link it to delayed European spring
Muscat: Climate scientists have linked the delayed arrival of springtime and continuation of cold weather conditions in Europe to the dramatic increase in rainwater levels in Oman.
The cold-weather phenomenon, which has affected parts of Europe and the United States, is being attributed to a slowdown in the Atlantic jet stream, which scientists say is paradoxically linked to global warming.
The process begins when winds stir up tiny particles of dust, pollution, bacteria, and heavy metals during snowfall in Europe, thousands of kilometres from Oman.

Het was een interessant weekje op het Arabisch schiereiland. In Saudi Arabie zijn veel scholen dicht en 13 doden gevallen door overstromingen. Ook vandaag waren er veel onweersbuien.
