Geomgnetic and auroral activity are diminishing as the solar disturbance completes its passage by the Earth. The next potentially large disturbance is not expected to arrive until the 9th or 10th. A more accurate arrival time is difficult to establish due to the lack of important observational data. It is possible the arrival of that disturbance could result in a resumption of strong storm activity.
