Heb wel eens sneeuw gehad bij -25, begin 80'er jaren hier in MKE.
Ijzige kou gaat hier vaak gepaard met krachtige winden uit de canadese prairies, veel dynamiek en een "progressive atmospheric pattern" zoals hier wordt gezegd met 3 rondes lichte sneeuw deze week. Maar vanaf morgen ben ik weer in NL om ff op te warmen, voor het 2e deel van de winter in Wisconsin
A very active and progressive atmospheric pattern continues through our part of the country leading to at least 3 more rounds of flurries, snow showers, or light snow through the weekend. The first occurs this morning with the quick passage of low pressure. While there won't be much in the way of accumulation, snow showers and some flurries will be pesky for the first part of the day, especially to the North. Even when these flakes end, continued and reinforced brutally bitter winds behind a cold front will blow around the light fluffy snow and reduce visibilities especially in rural areas. After a brief break, another round of slightly more substantial snow arrives from the Southwest for late tonight and the first part of tomorrow. This time, it appears there could be accumulation of about an inch or so focused especially South. Sun may return my the afternoon, but it won't warm things up at all. In fact, temperatures will actually fall through the day. Wind chills today and tomorrow will remain close to zero with overnight readings well below that. A very, very slight moderation arrives by the end of the work week, but even then temperatures won't get much above 20 degrees. A continuation of the well below average readings.
