"Another caveat is that the model uses fixed SSTs, which prevents the possibility
of negative feedbacks on intensity due to SST cooling associated with vertical ocean
mixing or latent heat fluxes, which might significantly reduce the intensity of hurricanes.
The results of this study are based on two samples of 30 years. Although we argue that the main conclusions are not affected by the small sample size, we realize that more extended simulations are needed to further test our results."
