I have not run into the Amish farmer that tipped me off to the 01-02 warm winter here. However about 20 miles southeast of here, there is an Amish restaurant that a couple of the wrestling coaches went too and I had them ask the owner about what his horses were foretelling ( I have explained this whole Dutch draft horse theory a hundred times). He told them that they look at the deer, if they have alot of fat on them, then its a cold winter
So I have been trying to get feedback on what people shooting deer have come up with.. Finally one of my buddies got one, and says it has more fat on it than any deer he has ever shot.
So the Amish method is being tested here
