A low pressure system currently moving eastward across the mid-Mississippi Valley is forecast to develop into a major winter storm that has the potential to dump snow measured in feet together with blizzard conditions over New England on Tuesday! Blizzard Watch has been posted along the coastal section of southern New England. This graphic shows a conservative estimate of snowfall amounts in the Northeast prepared early this morning. Our latest estimates show that generally over two feet will be quite possible over southern New England!
