Heeft alles te maken met het brongebied.
Daar het lagedrukgebied (hoogtelaag gevuld met koude lucht)zich vanaf de omgeving IJsland richting West Europa heeft verplaatst, ga ik toch voor polair.

Onderstaand een kaartje met de brongebied en aanverwante luchtsoort.
