1. Satellite imagery indicates that a well-defined area of low pressure has formed about 375 miles south-southwest of Acapulco, Mexico.
Strong upper-level winds associated with Hurricane Andres are currently limiting the organization of the associated shower and thunderstorm activity. However, conditions are expected to become more conducive for development during the next day or so and a tropical depression is likely to form by mid-week while the system drifts generally northwestward and then becomes nearly stationary.
