Ik kreeg net een mail binnen van Tropical Storm Risk. In kort: 30% meer activiteit dan het langjarig gemiddelde.

En de rest staat hieronder in het Engels.

TSR raises its previous forecasts and predicts North Atlantic hurricane activity in 2016 will be about 30% above the 1950-2015 long-term average and about 40% above the recent 2006-2015 average. The forecast calls for:

An ACE (Accumulated Cyclone Energy) value of 130. The long-term norm is 101. If verified this would be the highest ACE value since 2012
A 57% probability of an above-normal North Atlantic ACE in 2016, a 33% likelihood of a near-normal ACE, and only a 10% chance of a below-normal ACE season.
4 intense hurricane, 9 hurricanes and 17 tropical storms (including huricane Alex). This compares to long-term norms of 3, 6 and 11 respectively.
