Hi-res superdichtbije blikseminslag uit Australiƫ
Hi all,
I am the person who took this photo, and when it happened, it scared the hell out of me. The photo was taken in Old Toongabbie, in my back yard, looking south.
Anyway, a lot of people have been asking for a larger pic, so here it is... Please be gentle, it is hosted on my webspace. It is 1MB.

I was out the back trying to get some cloud shots of the storm, but I was not expecting this to occur. I could see stars to the north
1/3 of the sky, and there was a storm that appeared to be over Pendle Hill / Greystanes, it did not rain, and there was no other close strikes, but I realise how lucky I am.
My hairs still stand on end when I go out the back.
The structure to the left used to have birds in it, but nothing lives there anymore, and the structure to the right is a shed. No chooks here to be harmed.
