Interessant inderdaad (en deze keer zonder aanhalingsgtekens). Ik vrees alleen dat deze "subtiliteiten" niet besteed zijn aan het publiek dat actief is op "realclimatescience.com", terwijl het in cartoonvorm toch duidelijke uitgelegd staat op de Deense site (onderstreping van mij):

Three processes determine whether the ice sheet grows or diminishes. Accumulation of snow on top increases mass. In time, the snow is transformed to ice that flows down through the ice sheet and out towards the margins.
