Upper PV is merging in latest GFS? Sets up stronger jet and lows towards Europe. PV config is not bull for stable cold, calm and dry EU yet. The lower polar vortex (PV) must set up a config supporting H-pressure that connects with Siberian H-pressure for stable cold-dry-calm EU.

configuration at lower levels do show the possibility for strato-troposphere interaction but the position of cells are not so bull for extremely cold, calm and dry Nordic weather, and partly for Europe. Weather models can become more WWW the following days...

Zo zit dat dus. Wel koppeling stratosfeer maar SPV komt op de Atl. Oceaan. Iets wat wij bij een displacement vaker zien. Vandaar waarschijnlijk ook dat dit vaak zachter weer in Europa geeft. Dit zou een kwestie van dikke pech zijn. Als je nog kaarsjes over hebt, nee, dikke stompkaarsen, brandt ze dan voor een gunstige SPV-split.
