Yesterday's daily NAO (EOF) index of -2.0 was the lowest so far this summer, and lowest since the March 2018 beast fromt the east As noted by Tim Woollings today there are big summer/winter differences in -NAO implications for NW Europe.
Zijn reactie: I agree this is a winter-like setup in many ways, though for us in the UK there is a difference:
In winter NAO- the storm track shifts south away from us. But in summer NAO- it shifts south towards us...
