Alaska had a cold winter. How cold? Per @NOAANCEIclimate data, the state's Dec-Feb average temp of -17.4°C (+0.7°F) was the coldest relative to a 30-year average in the past 50 years (since 1969-70). But it only just fell into the coldest 25% of the 95-year history.
Dat begrijp ik toch niet. Op het plaatje lijkt het de koudste winter sinds 1999. Ook best leuk, maar minder spectaculair.
