Zowel voor de bovengemiddeld warme week in het vooruitzicht als de ondergemiddeld koude week die we net achter de rug hebben. Het aantonen van de impact is erg complex, maar dat er een grote impact is, en de mens daar debet aan is, staat buiten kijf. De algemene conclusie is;
"evidence for linkages between Arctic amplification and mid-latitude weather patterns is emerging, but mechanisms are likely to be regional, episodic, seasonally and interannually varying, making systematic detection a major challenge. Current synthesis suggests that there will be no net mid-latitude cooling, only a potential for severe events"
