Isabel is onshore and will slowly weaken over the next 24 hours as it moves through eastern NC and up into the mid Atlantic region. In its wake, Isabel left trees down and power out for many Wilmington residents. Power was knocked out here at my house around 11:20 and didn't return until after 2:30 this afternoon. During that time, the strongest winds were estimated (since the weather station was down) to be around 50 mph from the west-northwest. There is widespread debris scattered about, but luckily I do not have trees down in my yard. One of my neighbors is not so lucky.
