SUMMARY - Tonight, there are signs of a pattern affecting the UK, which we haven't seen for quite a while. By next weekend it looks like the Atlantic High will retreat to the south, possibly ridge into Europe, with an Icelandic Low pushing much needed weather fronts across the UK, with mild to very mild temperatures. All of this preceded by some cold N/NE'ly winds, with possibly some wintry precipitation in places. I suppose the 12z MetO run indicates the pattern change not being "set in stone," but still looks likely.
