Spaceweather.com:

ERUPTION: Yesterday on the sun, a magnetic filament snapped. The resulting explosion hurled a CME into space and sent beautiful waves of energy surging through the sun's atmosphere. The CME might strike a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on July 23rd, sparking a geomagnetic storm. Stay tuned for updates.

www.Sidc.be:

A large CME with likely Earth-directed component was observed in LASCO
datayesterday afternoon, July 20th. Though not yet detected by CACTus the
LASCO operations scientist described the CME as spanning 160+ degrees and
with a slow plane-of-sky speed of 375km/s. A post-eruption arcade is visible
centred on S24E22. Based on these parameters we expect the CME to be
geoefective, and to arrive on Monday of next week.
