Je zei ook nog iets over die bosbouw in de V.A.E.
Wel dat is een beetje hetzelfde verhaal. De ecovoetafdruk 'bosbouw' wordt berekend op de hoeveelheid oppervlakte hout die een inwoner verbruikt. In dit geval gaat het hem om hout in de bouw, meubelen maar ook hout om papier te maken enz.... en dit alles uitgedrukt in Ha. Hoe men dit uiteindelijk berekend is mij een raadsel laat staan dat er hier ook enige uniformiteit te vinden is.

Hier de gegevens voor 2004 van de Amerikaanse overheid (http://www.eia.doe.gov/): de CO2 uitstoot [tonnen CO2 per jaar] per capita door verbruik en 'flaring' van fossiele brandstoffen.
In die vergelijking doet Nederland het erg slecht...
