Posted: 7:04 AM- Falling snow greeted Utahns along the Wasatch Front Monday, making for treacherous morning drive conditions.
The Utah Department of Transportation was reporting several slide-off accidents in the Salt Lake metro area just before 7 a.m.
The national Weather Service has issued a snow advisory for the western two-thirds of Utah and southwest Wyoming, including the Wasatch front and mountains, and the western Uinta basin and mountains.
Up to two inches of snow is expected in the valleys with more accumulation in the mountains. Snowfall is expected to end by noon in the valleys and by this afternoon in the mountains as the storm system moves east into Wyoming and Colorado, according to the Weather Service.
The next storm is expected to develop on Sunday.
