Flights at Prague airport cancelled because of blizzard

Heavy snowfall seriously disrupted air traffic at Prague-Ruzyne international airport Wednesday, with many flights cancelled, airport authorities said.
"Nine flights were cancelled overnight Tuesday including one regular flight and eight charter flights," said a spokeswoman for Czech CSA airline Marcela Pickova.
But runways remained open throughout the snowstorm overnight, said airport spokeswoman Anna Kovarikova. She said pilots had the last word on whether to fly or not, she added.
The situation was slowing getting back to normal around 8:00 am (0700 GMT), Pickova said.
Prague-Ruzyne had already been closed down for about six hours Monday after heavy snowfall.
