June's cold a record

It's official - Tasmanians last month shivered their way through one of the coldest and driest Junes on record.
The Weather Bureau says a change on the first of the month set the scene for an exceptionally cold month, with both overnight and daytime temperatures well below average, and frost recorded in each district almost every day.
One of the coldest areas was Grove, south of Hobart, which recorded 25 nights, including 23 in a row, where the temperature dropped to two degrees celsius or lower.
It was a similar story at Wynyard and Eddystone Point, which recorded their lowest-ever June temperatures.
The Weather Bureau's Ian Barnes-Keoghan, says after such a wet and warm May, June came as something of a shock.
"May was a record warm month so it was a bit of a contrast," he said.
"What we just saw was a high pressure system sitting south of the Bight, cold air surging up from over the Southern Ocean over the State and that just happened over and over again."
"We didn't see much rain out of it but we did see lots of low temperatures."
