IPCC houdt bijeenkomst in Nederland over nieuwe scenario's

,,As decided at Mauritius (IPCC-25), the development of scenarios for AR5 will be undertaken by the scientific community. The IPCC will catalyze such work so as to promote its readiness in time for the AR5 cycle. Therefore, an IPCC Expert Meeting on New Scenarios will be held in the Netherlands.
The objective of this meeting is to identify requirements for development of new scenarios for research and assessment of emissions, climate change and response strategies, including in a possible IPCC Fifth Assessment Report.
The Steering Committee will decide on the participants and the program of the Meeting.
The Chair of the IPCC, Dr. Pachauri, has sent a letter (including Annex) to the scientific community, to explore their interest in participating in developing new scenarios that would be useful for the preparation of future IPCC assessment reports and to request information regarding their activities in scenario development. The replies have been compiled, and will be used by the Steering Committee as input for the Expert Meeting.''
De bijeenkomst wordt gehouden in Noordwijkerhout van 19 tot en met 21 september aanstaande. Toch leuk om te zien dat Nederland een aardig organistorisch rolletje speelt in het prille stadium van AR5
