...A winter storm warning is in effect until 10 am est this
morning...
...Wind chill warning in effect tonight into Friday morning...
Snow will continue to fall early this morning...And begin to taper
off during the rush hour. The snow will come to an end by late
morning. Total accumulations will be on the order of 6 to 8 inches
when the snow comes to an end. Winds will pick up to 15 to 25 mph
this morning...And cause considerable blowing and drifting. Travel is
strongly discouraged this morning.
In addition...A wind chill warning has been issued for Thursday night
and Friday morning. A combination of very cold temperatures along
with strong northerly winds will result in wind chill temperatures
from 20 to 25 degrees below zero late Thursday night and Friday
morning.
A wind chill warning is issued when a strong wind will combine with
cold temperatures to create dangerously cold conditions for exposed
skin. The wind will make it feel like it is 25 degrees below zero or
colder for a period of several hours. Those planning to venture
outdoors should use common sense and dress warmly...Making sure that
all exposed skin is covered. Frost bite can occur on exposed flesh
in 30 minutes at These wind chill values.
