Blizzard Conditions Expected Near Lake Superior Today Into This Evening
Light snow will overspread all of Upper Michigan this morning ahead of a polar cold front dropping southeast into the Upper Great Lakes. As this front passes this morning into the early afternoon, heavy lake effect snow showers will develop in the north to northwest wind snow belts. Winds gusting over 45 mph at times in the wake of this front will cause considerable blowing snow, resulting in blizzard conditions over the Keweenaw, as well as Alger and Northern Schoolcraft county this afternoon and evening.
