Looking at some approximate site stats for the last few days it's clear the approaching cold spell hasn't really enthused people as much as the January one did. Today there have only been about 30,000 page impressions so far. During the last few days the daily total has been between 75,000 and 130,000. Remember that only a few weeks ago we blew up a server, even after switching to a reduced bandwidth and limited site. Back then we were registering around 250,000 page views per day, with an incredible peak on the Friday of around 50,000 page views per hour which resulted in the old server toppling over quicker than one of those Atlantic blocks.

Maybe it's a little late in the season and people are split between wanting cold, snowy weather or warm spring like conditions? Or perhaps many of us are a little older, more cynical, and wiser about what the likely outcome is?
