Dangerous Weather Overnight
Flooding Threat Through Sunday Night

Tropical moisture has produced very heavy rainfall across portions of the central Philippines over the past few days. Observations from these areas have reported over 20 inches of rain, with an unofficial report of nearly 50 inches of rain at Catanduanes.
The main culprit for the heavy rain has been a slow moving area of low pressure. This low is now the first Tropical Storm of the Western Pacific Basin this year.
Tropical Storm One will continue to spin just east of the Philippines through Monday before gradually accelerating to the north and northeast. The unrelenting rains will continue to pound central areas of the Philippines, where an additional 20 inches of rainfall is likely through Monday.
Dangerous flooding and life-threatening mudslides will occur throughout the central Philippines through at least Monday.
