We have completed an analysis of the second coronal mass
ejection associated with yesterdays X1.2 solar flare from Region 484 and
believe the impact could produce periods of minor to severe geomagnetic
storming. Impact is expected in the hours near 03:00 UTC on 28 October (10
pm EDT on 27 October [Monday night]). Auroral activity could intensify to
strong levels after the disturbance arrives - if this prediction holds true. Details
concerning the prediction are available
