The latest SOHO photo shows sunspot region 927 which had formed an unusual ring with high magnetic flux, is breaking up. (see photo below). This is a good thing. It appears the magnetic loops may be loosening up lessoning the possibility of a rather nasty release of solar flare and CME (coronal mass ejection) activity.

However, the boys at the NASA/NOAA Space Center are not quite ready to wipe the sweat from their brow. The danger of 927 developing to produce large solar activity is still undetermined. I’m afraid we’ll just have to ‘wait and see’ what develops over the next 5 to 10 days.
You may also want to keep an eye on extreme weather events. This will include volcanic and earthquake activity. A recent article titled “Seismolgists Get Handle on Heat Flow Deep in Earth” hints of a more intimate relationship to geomagnetic flux, the Earth’s core, and earthquake and volcanic activity. I would suggest no real surprise as outlined in the ‘Equation’. And while we are at it, lets pay attention to ourselves (humans). Watch for emotional waves somewhat like a roller coaster.
