Volkomen mee eens Jan.

There is growing evidence that changes in solar irradiance affect Earth’s middle and lower atmosphere. At higher levels of activity, the stratosphere is warmer throughout the tropics, associated with higher concentrations of ozone. At such times, patterns consistent with an expansion ofthe tropical Hadley circulations are established. At the surface, a more active Sun is associated with a more positive phase of North Atlantic Oscillation, especially in winter, and a north-westward shift of the main surface pressure features in the North Pacific.
